About Our Natural Meat
Our meats are selected from only premium local Ontario farms. Our animals are born and raised with care. They are grass fed, and are free from growth hormones and antibiotics. They are raised naturally and as stress free as possible.
Our animals are never in crowed feedlots and allowed to grow at their natural rate.
VERIFICATION
All of Brooker’s Natural Meat products come from provincially inspected plants. Consumers can rest assured that Ontario has one of the most comprehensive provincial meat inspection systems in Canada.
Anytime slaughter is taking place at one of licensed abattoirs, An OMAFRA (Ontario Ministry of Argiculture Food & Rural Affairs) inspector must be present. Live animals are inspected before and after slaughter to ensure that no unhealthy animals are introduced to the food chain. The OMAFRA inspector also is responsible for inspecting the premises and operational practices. The meat inspection program used is supported by a range of full-time support staff that includes veterinary scientists, food scientists, regulatory specialists, regional veterinarians and appointed veterinary inspectors.
Selecting and Packaging
We've designed our process to make your life easier! Each step ensures convenience as well as quality, safety, and great taste.
Selecting: We work only with a select network of local Ontario farmers, and we choose only the highest quality, best-tasting meats.
Trimming: Each cut of meat is just like your local butcher would provide, so your order arrives beautifully trimmed and ready to cook.
Sealing: We individually seal our products. This eliminates the hassles and dangers of rewrapping and refreezing. With our Grocery background we wanted to offer meats that last longer in your freezer. Regular meats freezer burn after a month where our products will store for up to six months with no danger of freezer burn occurring. Another great advantage is on occasion when you're trying to satisfy different tastes for a family meal or guests, you can easily defrost and cook a variety without wasting a thing.
Flash freezing: We flash freeze our meats at the height of their freshness – the safest way to lock out bacteria while locking in all the flavor, juiciness, and natural vitamins and minerals.
Shipping: We ship directly to your front door! No need to make a special trip to the market or butcher. Your order arrives on an assigned day for your area. Orders are due Friday by noon for the following weeks delivery.
